Due Diligence and You

Every few weeks and months, a new scandal erupts over an influential figure in the public sphere that causes a flurry of concern and introspection of affiliated organizations. Previously, institutions tended to be reactive about due diligence for their boards and prospects. Now the climate is shifting and nonprofits need to be more proactive about researching their board members and other people affiliated with the organization to get ahead of possible issues. This session will explore tactics and strategies on due diligence research including research tips and how to talk with colleagues and supervisors at your institution.
