About Apra Pennsylvania

Apra Pennsylvania is the Pennsylvania Regional Chapter of Apra (formerly known as the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement), an international membership organization that "serves and educates fundraising professionals interested in advancement research and promotes the profession of advancement research." Apra International has 29 Regional Chapters across the United States, serving over 2,000 members in the U.S. and abroad.

The Pennsylvania Chapter currently serves over 100 active members across the state of Pennsylvania, as well as throughout the US.

We changed our name in 2014 from PREP/APRA to Apra Pennsylvania to be inclusive of all people in Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas of New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware that are interested in our mission.

Apra Pennsylvania supports the international organization's mission at the regional level by offering members and non-members regular professional development and networking events in their local area. Apra Pennsylvania offers many opportunities for members to build professional skills by presenting at conferences, writing for chapter publications, taking on leadership roles in the organization, etc. Apra Pennsylvania members are encouraged, but are not required, to join Apra International.
