About APRA Pennsylvania
APRA Pennsylvania is the Pennsylvania Regional Chapter of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA), an international membership organization that "serves and educates fund-raising professionals interested in advancement research and promotes the profession of advancement research." APRA International has about 30 Regional Chapters across the United States, serving over 2,000 members in the U.S. and elsewhere.
The Pennsylvania Chapter currently serves approximately 100 active members and serves the entire State of Pennsylvania.
We changed our name in 2014 from PREP/APRA to APRA Pennsylvania to be inclusive of all people in Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas of New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware that are interested in our mission.
APRA Pennsylvania supports the international organization's mission at the regional level by offering members and non-members regular professional development and networking events in their local area. APRA Pennsylvania offers many opportunities for members to build professional skills by presenting at conferences, writing for chapter publications, taking on leadership roles in the organization, etc. APRA Pennsylvania members are encouraged, but are not required, to join APRA International.
The mission of APRA Pennsylvania is to educate, to foster professional development and career growth, and to promote standards of excellence within the field of prospect research.
